ALLOWABLE FEES INCIDENT TO LOAN TERMINATION OF
GUARANTEED LOANS IN GEORGIA, TENNESSEE, NORTH CAROLINA
AND SOUTH CAROLINA
1.  PURPOSE: It is not the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) intent to regulate the amounts that servicers may pay for services performed. However, our regulations do limit the extent to which we can reimburse the holder for attorney fees incurred. The purpose of this release is to set forth our policy with respect to the amounts for such services that may be included in the claims under guaranty. These fees are effective with October 2005 foreclosure sales.
