Appraisal Information
An appraisal is required for all VA liquidation cases. Appraisals must be ordered through The Appraisal System (TAS) via the Veterans Information Portal (VIP). This site can be accessed at vip.vba.va.gov.
Once an appraisal is ordered, you will receive a case number and the appraiser's contact information. We require our appraisers to complete liquidation appraisals within five work days. In order to facilitate this requirement, please send the appraisal order form (26-1805) to the assigned appraiser as soon as possible. We ask that you also provide any contact information for the obligors in question if the property is occupied. If the property is vacant, please provide contact information for the party charged with securing the premises.
Servicers who have approved Servicer Appraisal Processing Program (SAPP) Staff Appraisal Reviewers should order liquidation appraisals as SAP type. Others should continue to use the existing LGI type.
If, for whatever reason, the appraisal request must be cancelled, please contact both the appraiser and the Loan Administration section of the St. Paul RLC so appropriate action can be taken.
