Payment of Tax and Insurance Bills
You are responsible for paying all tax and insurance bills that can be paid prior to the settlement date. If any bills are paid after the claim is submitted, but before the settlement date, please contact our office immediately with the details. Tax or insurance bills will not be reimbursed if you pay them after the settlement date. Please identify these bills with the new Loan Identification Number and forwarded to:

Send a letter to the insurance company requesting the mortgagee's interest be endorsed to VA (The Secretary of Veterans Affairs, an Officer of the United States of America, successors or assigns, c/o Countrywide Home Loans, Attn: Insurance Department, SV-22, P.O. Box 5190, Simi Valley, CA 93065). A copy of that letter should be included in your claim package. Please advise the insurance company this is a servicing transfer to prevent the cancellation of the policy.
