LOAN ADMINISTRATION

Loan Administration monitors and evaluates the servicing of
guaranteed loans by holders and servicers utilizing output from the
Loan Service and Claims System to assure timely efforts are made to
service and, as applicable, terminate loans determined
insoluble.
The section also performs supplemental servicing to help veterans
in default retain their homes or to assist veterans with
alternatives to foreclosure. Such alternatives include forbearance
programs or loan modifications when practicable, deeds in lieu of
foreclosure, refunding of loans, or sale of the property with
compromise agreements, if indicated. See Foreclosure

Authorizes partial releases of security and processes retroactive
releases of liability.
Reviews, adjusts as necessary, and authorizes payment of claims
under guaranty to loan holders on liquidated cases. See Claim

Close liaison with Regional Counsel, Finance Personnel, holders
and servicers, and fee attorneys is maintained.
