SUBJ: 2002 VA TELEVISED TRAINING BROADCASTS
            FOR LENDERS AND REAL ESTATE SALES PERSONNEL


Our Local Release 26-02-02 recently announced the scheduled satellite broadcast of Jan. 23, 2002,
to introduce the VA Internet-based appraisal assignment and processing system. VA Loan Guaranty
Service has scheduled five additional interactive televised training broadcasts for lenders during 2002, and
one broadcast for real estate sales personnel.


Where can these broadcasts be viewed?


Who should you contact to make a reservation?

    Attendees should make reservations by either sending an e-mail or calling one of the contact
    persons shown below no earlier than two weeks before the broadcast. Reservations will not be
    accepted unless they are within two weeks of the broadcast. As space is limited, we will only allow
    a maximum of two employees from each lender office. Please indicate the names of attendees,
    your company name/address, and who we should contact to confirm the reservation. Reservations
    will be taken on a first come/first serve basis.

What do you need to bring?

Student handout materials for each broadcast will be available for download from Loan Guaranty’s
web page one week before each broadcast. Students who plan to attend a broadcast should
download these materials and bring them to the broadcast, as they will not be distributed at the
broadcast site. The web address is www.homeloans.va.gov/train.htm

What are the topics and when are the broadcasts scheduled?

"Appraisals in the VA Home Loan Program" - February 21, 2002 12 Noon to 2 PM Eastern Time.
This broadcast is for anyone interested in how VA Appraisals are ordered, processed, and
underwritten. Topics include: "The VA Home Loan Program for Real Estate Professionals" - March 20, 2002 12 Noon to 2 PM,
Eastern Time. Thousands of real estate professionals are making money participating in VA's
home loan program. Attend this session and find out how you can too. Topics include: "Closing & Shipping VA Home Loans" - May 22, 2002, 12 Noon to 2 PM Eastern Time.
Attend this broadcast and save your company time and money. Topics include: "Originating VA Home Loans" - June 19, 2002, 12 Noon to 2 PM Eastern Time.
Want to improve your market share? Learn how you can do just that by speeding up your ability
to explain and process VA mortgage loans. Topics include: "Underwriting VA Home Loans" - July 17, 2002, 12 Noon to 2 PM Eastern Time.
It's approved! Tips and hints on mastering VA Credit Standards to arrive at well supported
underwriting decisions quickly and efficiently. Topics include: VA Loans for Newcomers - September 18, 2002, 12 Noon to 2 PM Eastern Time.
This broadcast is intended for those lender employees who are new to the mortgage loan
business and are interested in learning the basics of the VA home loan program.
Topics include: What if you cannot attend but would like a tape of the broadcast?

    As a service to our private-sector partners in the VA home loan program, Loan Guaranty is making
    available the tapes of our past interactive televised training broadcasts. Tapes are available after
    each broadcast from Multi Video Services at 1-800-800-DUBS (3827).
    Tapes of each 2002 broadcast will be available after the broadcast for $34.95.
