Effective September 28, 2001 with Change 2 to the VA Lender's Handbook, VA has established a standard figure of 14 cents per square foot for maintenance and utilities costs to be used on the Loan Analysis. This change eliminates the use of the maintenance and utility chart for this region and is specified in paragraph 4.09 of the Lender's Handbook.
