The Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Services provides courteous, quality and professional services designed to assist eligible veterans, service members, and dependents to attain their maximum vocational potential.
What is Vocational Rehabilitation?
This particular program for veterans with service-connected disabilities offers assistance to help them prepare for, find and keep suitable jobs. Suitable employment means employment that is both within your physical and emotional capabilities and matches your pattern of skills and interests. For veterans with service-connected disabilities so severe they cannot work, VA offers program of services to improve their ability to live as independently as possible.
Why and How do I Apply?
If you want and need help to overcome job or independent living difficulties caused by injury or illness from military service, then you should apply for Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment benefits.
As a veteran, you must have a VA established service-connected disability for which you are entitled to compensation. Generally, your disability compensation rating must be at least 10 percent. This rating allows us to evaluate you to see if you can qualify for the program.
