The Milwaukee Regional Office
administers a variety of services and benefits including Compensation
and Pension, and Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment.
Other services provided include specially adapted housing grants,
benefits counseling, fiduciary/guardianship services, outreach services
for the homeless, and public affairs.
The
office also houses one of three Pension Maintenance Centers for those
living in Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana,
Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, and Wisconsin .
The
Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) program helps
veterans with service-connected disabilities by offering them services
and assistance to help them prepare for, find, and keep suitable
employment. For veterans with serious service-connected
disabilities, VA also offers a program of services to improve their
ability to live as independently as possible.
