The Waco VA Regional Office is located in Central Texas approximately 100 miles south of Dallas. The Waco Regional Office jurisdiction covers 164 counties extending from El Paso to Texarkana and Dalhart to Austin. The Waco office serves a veteran population of approximately 923,040 with annual benefit payments totaling 1 billion dollars.

The Waco Regional Office supports a full range of VA benefit programs, including compensation, pension, and vocational rehabilitation and employment.  The regional office provides veterans assistance support at VA medical centers in Amarillo and Temple.    Veterans assistance and vocational rehabilitation services are provided at the VA North Texas Health Care System in Dallas; satellite offices in Abilene, Tyler, and Fort Hood; VA Outpatient Clinics (OPC) and satellite offices in Austin and Fort Worth; Lubbock OPC; and the VA Health Care System in El Paso.  Also, a Military Services Coordinator, Veterans Service Representatives, and Rating Veterans Service Representatives are located at the Fort Hood military base.
