The Rapid Evaluation of Veterans' Claims (REV) Pilot program focuses on faster processing of disability claims for Veterans seeking an increase in service-connected conditions, based on worsening symptoms. This initiative allows Veterans more control in preparing their own claims by guiding them in organizing the required medical information.

If you answer yes to any of the questions below you may be eligible to participate.

1. Do you have disabilities that VA has determined to be service connected?
2. Have these disabilities become worse or increased in severity?
3. Are you willing to obtain specific information from your treating physician showing these disabilities have become worse?
4. Do you want a decision in 30 days? 

If you answered yes to these questions, you are eligible to participate in REV.

 

To participate in REV complete these four simple steps. Once your claim is received, a decision will be made within 30 days and you will receive notification regarding the outcome.

4 Simple Steps

1. Fill Out Forms and Mark REV

   

   Download and submit your REV claim on VA Form 21-526b, Supplemental Claim for Compensation, or VA Form 21-4138, Statement in Support of Claim. Mark REV in the top margin of the form to ensure that it is properly identified.

2. Collect Physician Test Results

   

   Ask your treating physician to provide the information and test results required to decide your claim. This information may be found as a downloadable Word Document in the REV Eligible Disability conditions fact sheets listed to the right.

3. Collect Private Medical Records

   

   Submit your private medical records with the required information with your application. If you are being treated by a VA physician, please indicate the VA medical center where your records are located. We will download these for you. (Medical documentation should be current, within one year of filing your REV claim, and new, reports that have not been previously considered in another claim.)
