2011-2012 Compensation and Pension Benefit Rates
The new 2011-2012 rates for Compensation and Pension benefits are now available.
Pre-Discharge Program
A new website on predischarge programs is now available. This website provides information to assist servicemembers in filing claims prior to release from active military service.
Expediting Fully Developed Claims
On December 17, 2008, VA began a one-year pilot program at 10 regional offices to assess the feasibility and advisability of processing within 90 days after receipt fully developed compensation and pension claims. A Certification of Fully Developed Claim should accompany each claim submitted under this pilot program. For additional details, please see the FDC frequently asked questions.
Direct Deposit
Go Direct is an easier and more convenient alternative for VA compensation and pension beneficiaries to enroll in direct deposit. This option is currently unavailable for education benefits, vocational rehabilitation benefits or Compensation/Pension payees receiving benefits through a guardian or conservator.
