Your mortgage company is responsible for contacting you to determine the reason for the late payments and attempt to make arrangements to bring your loan current. If the problem can not be resolved, the mortgage company is required to notify VA. VA will attempt to contact you to discuss your current situation and help you determine the best course of action.
